Field Application Scientist

Position Description: The Field Application Scientist is a critical role in the development of NanoView’s business. The Field Application Scientist will provide technical expertise in NanoView’s scientific and commercial activities. We are therefore seeking a highly-motivated person with experience and passion for both technical and commercial activities within the life sciences market. The job would require field technical and commercial support as necessary, remote support when appropriate, and working with the engineering team to improve the product and to help develop formal protocols for manufacturing and quality control. Technical expertise in life science instruments, including microscopy, and reagents is required and specific experience within the field of extracellular vesicles would be highly beneficial. The Field Application Scientist will help NanoView execute on its vision of improving exosome characterization to move forward basic research and clinical translation.
Listen to, analyze, and respond to customer service requests.
Travel short-term to customer site for technical and sales support.
Train customers on products during and after purchase.
Document emerging customer needs and potential products.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and update documentation and records to resolve problems.
Qualifications:Minimum B.S degree in bioengineering, biology, biochemistry, or similar discipline; M.S or PhD preferred. Experience with optical systems and hardware debugging is required, software programming is preferred. Must be willing to travel as necessary for short trips.

Position Description: Work with research and development, and applications team to assist in managing the laboratory and running of samples on our novel ExoView Platform. Person needs to be detail oriented and follow SOPs and experimental plans.
Maintain laboratory equipment and certifications
Maintain inventory of raw materials, buffers, and reagents
Handle sensitive sensor chips with tweezers
Perform common assay like Western Blot, and ELISA
Maintain cell culture
Participate in troubleshooting of processes
Complete projects by assisting project team; attend and participate in team, department, and all-hands meetings
Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Chemistry or related science field required
2-5 years experience in an analytical lab environment
Strong math and computer skills
Hands on experience with Western Blot, ELISA, ICC/IHC, and Flow cytometry
Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, understanding of proper chemical handling, use, storage and disposal
Must be willing to work a rotating shift that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Position Description: NanoView is seeking a highly-motivated research associate with experience developing protein-based assays using human samples, e.g. plasma or serum. Experience in exosome isolation and characterization is preferred. Research associate will help NanoView execute on its vision of improving exosome characterization to move forward basic research and clinical translation.
Work with NanoView team to optimize exosome detection using NanoView novel detection technology.
Assist in design and execution of experimental plan for the detection of exosomes from different biological fluids.
Lead development of manufacturing and quality control process of NanoView assay.
Documentation and presentation of results to NanoView team.
Aid in drafting of manuscripts, grants, and patent fillings.
Qualifications: Minimum B.S degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or similar discipline with 2+ years industry experience in RUO/IVD assay development; M.S is preferred. Experience in developing protein assays in complex media such as serum and plasma. Ideally with experience is exosome isolation and detection or nanoparticle characterization. Experience with different protein capture probes (i.e. Antibodies, Peptides, and Aptamers). Experience with immunoassay product development including: reagent development, assay protocol optimization, specification development, and statistical methods.

NanoView is seeking a highly-motivated hardware/software engineer for the continued development of NanoView’s novel EV detection system. The system consists of an automated optical imaging system and software for multi-parametric data acquisition and characterization of slide-based assays.
Work with NanoView team of scientists and engineers to support existing products and develop new generation of NanoView hardware and instrumentation control software.
Liaison with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and engineering groups for the development, design, and testing of new capabilities through hardware prototyping and software integration.
Lead the resolution of advanced technical issues and provide technical advice for team and customers.
Integrate various hardware systems (imaging, mechanics, and electronics) through control software.
Review, revise, and approve design drawings from engineering team.
Documentation and presentation of results to NanoView team and at scientific conferences.
B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree in engineering, applied physics, optics or equivalent discipline
3-5+ years of industry experience.
Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2005 or ISO 13485:2016) required
Experience in microscopy/optics, image/signal processing, Computer Aided Design (Solidworks), and embedded system/hardware control.
Industry experience with MATLAB/Python or equivalent software environment.
